On this frigid Sunday morning my need for a big breakfast was in an unusually high gear. Shaking off the initial idea of the golden arches and with Sydneys dog park time rapidly approaching, I thrust the brake petal down harshly when the word Deli appeared quickly to my left. Parking in a bus stop I knew my time was short, so I hurried inside and asked the owner to fire up for me his recommendation for breakfast this hungry man is in desperate need of.
At which point I was informed that the grill guy was running late and the thought of my mega lumberjack meal began to feel dashed.
Quickly manning the grill station himself and not leaving the store which was his intention upon my arrival, the store owner offered to run the food out to me personally, having to cross a gnarley street, just so I could sit in my car averting a hefty parking ticket. The kind gentlemanl also offered to me as another option to call my cell when my three pancakes with eggs and bacon were ready and I could come back inside to pick it up.
I was so impressed with his willingness to assist my breakfast and parking needs in anyway he could. I can honestly say this is an owner that really cares about his customers. Add in his suggestion that I take a cup of coffee with me as I wait in my car, prior to paying for it as my meal was prepared.
Three huge, fluffy pancakes with two jumbo eggs and bacon ran me $6.00. I talked about my experience incessantly with my pals at the dog park as they looked upon me quisically at the excitement of my mornings breakfast experience. I just couldn't recount a fonder experience at any deli at any time ordering any meal, hence my soliloquy.
