Kensington Apartments

Been here for a little over 2 years and have minimal complaints. 3rd floor apartment; never have had bugs. Laundry facilities are clean. Neighbors are nice. The walls are a bit thin, but if your neighbors are relatively quiet like mine it won't be a problem. Biggest complaint would be the rent (and laundry price) increase for both years I renewed my lease. I tried to work with Management on this issue and they wouldn't budge. I won't be renewing my lease again but I did enjoy living here.

The buildings are old, built before 1970, that's OK. No elevator, that's OK. The floor and walls are so thin that you can clearly hear people walking above you and talking behind the wall, that's OK. Kids running and screaming in the hallway, that's OK. But things started to make me feel really uncomfortable when 2 of my packages were stolen. When I called the management to report this, the employee just told me it's none of their business. The SAFETY of the neighborhood is none of their business. It appears to me that many packages have been stolen in Kensington Apartments, and the management did nothing, nothing about this, not even putting up a safety notice(Well, which management would admit that they take in thieves as residents?). I have lived in apartments in other cities, Baltimore, Philly, Phoenix, but I NEVER, NEVER had thieves as neighbors. Yes you need a key to enter the Kensington buildings and the packages are still stolen. I will move out when the lease ends and will never have it as my shipping address any more.

It's a worst place to live.never seen a kind of cockroach den in the total US.apartments are filled with cockroaches and many kind of roaches.while you move in your apartment would be fine but within 3 months you will get roaches coming into your house.most roaches come from outside through the door and your house will be filled with roaches.kids will get roach bites and the apartment is entirely unfit for the humans to live.please don't move to these apartments even if they don't charge.

Worst place to live in. Drainage system is horrible. Maintenance/service team's response is pathetic.
Please find some other better place.

The area is great, but the walls...ALL 4 WALLS...are PAPER THIN! I could hear discussions from the opposite apartment, the one above and the ones by the sides. It is RIDICULOUS! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT! We told the management and all they did is send a letter to a tenant. Children run in the corridors yelling and screaming with parents no where in the vicinity. Especially in building 1 on primrose lane. Ridiculous amounts of noise. I once recorded noise made in 15 minutes in the middle of the day. I can send it to anyone who is thinking of taking an apartment in this paper thin walled apartment. We also once hear a family from downstairs scream and yell. The house structure is good and so it the walking area around. But not the place to stay if you want a quite environment.
