From the moment I stepped into KAI studio I KNEW that was the venue for my daughter's 40th birthday celebration. Mind you, I had a LIST of venues to tour, and a notebook full of notes. Of course I was prepared to "comparison shop!" Afterall, this was going to be one of the most important events of my daughter's life. Well, let me just tell you, I did NOT tour another venue after my first meeting with Josie at KAI!!! KAI studio is one of the most amazing, best kept secrets in Brooklyn when it comes to event spaces. Maybe I should say WAS one of the best kept secrets...I am singing their praises to everyone who will listen. We had a fabulous time at KAI studio on Thursday July 10, 2014. If you are looking for a venue that's classy, with an owner and staff that will be there every step of the way for you to make sure your event is one that will be remembered by everyone... then look no more! Trust me when I tell you! Call them for a tour! I'll be looking for YOUR KAI studio review of pure satisfaction in the near future! Thank you KAI studio for everything! We will be back! We hosted a high school reunion recently at Kai Studios. From the planning phase, Josie was very professional and helpful. She made great suggestions about the best way to use the space. Her staff was professional and responsive to the guests. The space is beautiful and all the little extra's from the lighting and the GOBO made for a fun and festive evening. The big loft can lend itself to any décor plan. I would definitely book again.

Josie and her staff were absolutely AMAZING from start to finish. My chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha has done two events at Kai Studio. During the planning phases Josie was very professional, thorough, and responsive. She would always promptly reply to all inquiries and emails. On the day of the event, her staff did a flawless set up. During the event, her staff was on top of every detail. We had a patron who accidentally dropped their drink. And literally seconds later, her staff was there to clean up the spillage and glass with minimal disruption to to party. I can not sing the praises of Josie and her staff enough. I HIGHLY recommend Kai Studio if you want a grown and sexy event. I thank Josie and her staff for all their hard work during our event and would DEFINITELY utilize with them again. Kai Studio is definitely a hidden treasure in the borough of Brooklyn!!

AUG 20,2011. I WAS AT A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AT KAI STUDIOS!! THE WEDDING WAS BEAUTIFUL!! THE DECOR WAS AWESOME!! HOWEVER THE WEDDING COORDINATOR WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT PREPARED. HAD ALL THE GUEST WAITING OUTSIDE FOR MORE THAN A HOUR TO ENTER THE BUILDING. UPON ENTERING THE BUILDING WE STILL HAD TO WAIT TO BE SEATED. THE PLACE SETTINGS WERE NOT CORRECT. NOT TO MENTION THE AIR QUALITY, NO AIR CONDITIONER WHATS SO EVER. IT BLEW OUT WARM AIR. I MUST SAY I WAS A LIL OFFENDED BY BEING SEARCH BY SECURITY UPON ENTERING THE BUILDING. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH BARTENDERS TO WORK THE BAR. THE STAFF WAS VERY CONFUSED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. WHO SERVES CHAMPAGNE DURING A PRAYER? DID I MENTION THE FACT THAT ONE OF THE WORKERS WENT AROUND FLIRTING WITH THE GUEST! OTHER THEN THAT THE WEDDING TURNED OUT TO BE A BIG SUCCESS DUE TO THE FAMILY OF THE BRIDE AND ONE YOUNG LADY WHO WAS ON POINT. THEREFORE KAI STUDIOS IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT. BE PREPARED TO PUT IN A LOT OF WORK!!!!! THINK HARD AND LONG BEFORE YOU EMBARK ON THIS ADVENTURE!!!!

I was at Kai Studio at the same wedding...It was the coordinator was who was not part of the management of the studio that failed to have the place ready in 2 hours as she said she can do it.They will give you the time you ask for to set up the place. The owner of Kai Studio did have her team search the people going in for safety reasons as well as for things that should not have been brought inside the place, so if you did bring a big ole gift bag with tissue paper it was getting search. The owner wore many hats that day helping her staff, as well as helping the coordinator, who took on a job she could not handle because she did not have a team big enough to help her!!! The place is a beautiful empty loft that I would recommend worth renting out for any occasion...After all was done the place did look beautiful as well as the Bride and the handsome Groom! We had a wonderful time!!
