He was the low bidder but I guess you get what you pay for. His work is less than adequate. Our driveway now slopes to one side where is was previously level and there are gaps in the belgian block curb that could have easily been filled with blocks if they bothered to cut down pieces. While the work was being done we noticed that a retaining wall was smaller than the wall that was being replaced. When I pointed this out to him his response was that I should have come outside earlier and checked their work. The adhesive hadn't even set on the wall; makes one wonder what he would have said had I not been home and saw it when I came home from work. After the job was complete I noticed that our one year old garden hose reel was missing. I found it at his next job (my neighbor) and it had oil and tar on it. I called and told him that it needed to be replaced. He told me "You're being petty." I told him it was not my responsibility to supply him with tools that he needs to do a job. After much complaining he paid for a replacement. In his parting words he stated that he never touched the hose. I asked since he was the owner of the company and it was his employees "Are you not ultimately responsible for their actions?" Without answering he turned and walked away.
