Good, strong coffees. Cool coffeehouse, though not a lot of seating and I didn't see a WiFi network.

When it's not overrun by strollers on the weekend, it's a great place for a quiet cappuccino. Try the hazelnut biscotti.

My first time at Joe's, fantastic coffee. Bold, but smooth and flavorful. I will be calling this my new coffee house.

Joe is not the kind of place you go if you want to hunker down and stay for many hours, writing or working away on a laptop. It's just too small for that. Even the tables are very tiny. Poets with their moleskines might be able to snuggle into the corner and pour out short lines about the bleakness of life, but everyone else will just be enjoying a coffee and maybe chatting with a friend.
Nothing wrong with that.
I'm the type of person who likes to pick a place and hang instead of dip in and out for coffee, so most of Joe's charms are lost on me. However, I did enjoy their excellent coffee and find the vibe very pleasant.
There is wifi from somewhere, but Joe does not encourage you to sit down and connect.

Love Joe's coffee !! The success of this place has brought this wave of non-franchise coffee shops that focus on brewing high quality, fair trade coffee, and passionate baristas in NYC over the past few years.
I've also attended a couple classes at other locations and they are fun. Be sure to register early because they always seem to fill up quickly.
