John managed to find time while moving locations to do some work for me on very short notice. He did a great job and was super friendly! Definitely coming back in the future.

I came in with Beuscher Aristocrat sax in desperate need of repair. John looked at it thoroughly, and we had a really nice chat about jazz, his amazing line of saxophones in his shop on display. In the end, I decided to buy one of his own custom alto saxophones instead of repairing my old one and this is the BEST experiences I have EVER had as a musician. Professional advice from a professional player in the industry. Definitely worth a trip from ANYWHERE.

I have known John Leadbetter for over 5 years, and he has done an outstanding job fixing my Cigar Cutter tenor on several occasions. He is clearly very serious about his work and totally devoted to making a horn sound and feel better. His attention to detail is arresting, and while he sees every little thing that could be fixed or improved, he is also able to work within a given budget and to do whatever your priority is. In addition to his great skills as a repairman, John is an impressive saxophonist, which guarantees that when he tests a horn he knows exactly what it is supposed to feel and sound like.
