On October 30th, I placed an order with Jimmy Maxx Restaurant. I used to order from Jimmy Max all the time . However the last time I ordered, the whole experience was a nightmare. First we were waiting for our order for almost two hours, finally when it did arrive, pizza was missing. Once I called the restaurant to inquire about it, I spent 25 minutes on hold. Finally once some girl picked up she informed me that the pizza we ordered was dropped off at a different address. She offered to send us another pizza which I declined since after 2 and a half hours, I already came up with a different meal for the kids. Then she told me that they would be willing to reimburse me for the pizza, to which I replied that a nice thing to compensate for the ruined evening would be to reimburse for the whole order. She declined to do so and informed that she has been in the restaurant business for 15 years and what I was saying is unheard of. In the end I wasn't even reimbursed for the pizza, had to call my credit card and file a dispute. Never again dealing with this place.

My Uncle took us here when we came to visit. My husband still raves about the Chicken Markos. Best meals we had during our visit and the only place we ate at more than once. Wish we could go again but we live in Canada.

Jim and staff are always welcoming. Pizza is perfect. If you have children, this is the place for you. The menu has something for every diet. It seems they are always looking for ways to improve themselves. The accommodation for kids with allergies really was a considerate idea as I'm sure it's not easy to find a place to bring an allergic child.

This place is kinda weird. First off, service is spotty, as the people seemed annoyed when we first came in and weren't that attentive. However, to be fair, the Staten Island Yankees were playing on a TV in the other room. We were the only ones in the place, although it was between lunch and dinner. The place was wood paneled and atmosphere was minimal, although the chairs were nice. We got a bar pie and a Jimmy Max special to share. The special was mostly mozzarella with little splotches of tomato and a lot of basil. It was almost the reverse of a normal pie, which would have tomato sauce all over with splotches of cheese. The tomato was decent but there was fair too little of it, the cheese was decent quality, and there was too much basil. The crust was ok, didn't really stand out that much at all. The bar pie wasn't worth the bother, as the crust was even worse, the cheese were unflavorful, and the sauce had a oddly-spiced taste. However, like most bar pies, it was cheap, and they cut it up into very small pieces. One of the guys I was with compared it to Elio's, although I didn't think it was that bad. This place isn't bad for a local spot, but I wouldn't come here otherwise. There are much better places in Staten Island if you're visiting. On a positive note, they have a kids pizza-making station on Mondays and Tuesdays.
