I tried so many all far short of Jersey Joes simply the BEST!! use to drive an hour just to enjoy these amazing dogs ....

Good old fashioned Italian style hot dogs. I just wish he'd drain the potatoes before stuffing them into the bread. It's so oily the bread can't keep together.

I am a real hot dog lover and a total foodie. I have had them all from Pinks in Hollywood to Rutts Hut and Jimmy Buffs and nobody... NOBODY does it better than Jersey Joes. The reason why they are not famous is because they are well off the beaten path. When you get the Newark Style italian hot dog or sausage sandwich bring a friend because it is humongous! The owner (whos name is not Joe) makse sure your onions and peppers are not overcooked and the potatos are to perfection. Make mine with mustard please!!! I
This joint has been in the same family for 50 years.

I grew up eating Jimmy Buff's, the original Italian Hot Dog. They were the best! I never, ever thought I would find a better Italian Hot Dog, until today. Today I had my first Jersey Joe's Italian Hot Dog and I have to say, it was the best I have ever eaten, BAR NONE!
I would recommend Jersey Joe's to anyone who ever enjoyed an authentic Italian Hot Dog.
