Vast selection of frames, thorough eye exam, horrible service in receiving. Only worth it if you actually have all the time in the world and the patience to wait forever.

Dr. Bertschuk gave me a very thorough eye exam. She was as efficient as she was patient and polite. However, when it came to actually getting my glasses after the exam, I was being hassled for exactly 5 weeks until I got them. I even emphasized the importance of getting them by the time I began my first day of college classes.

Exam day 8/8/15: Those working the front desk said they would call me when my glasses were ready for pick up.

8/22/15: I was told that my glasses hadn't arrived yet and that to wait one more week.

8/29/15: They did not know where my glasses were and told me they would call me within the hour after they found out. I waited six hours that day and called them back. They told me that there was an accident at the lab that caused my lenses to break and so they were being remade. I again emphasized the urgency of needing my glasses for school. They seemed shocked as if to be hearing this for the first time and proceeded to put the shipment for them to the store on expedited. This means to say they were not already on expedited shipping when I first made the request and expressed my issue during my appointment!

9/5/15: At this point I had already expressed my frustration to my mother who had already paid $300+ for my glasses and the $75 for the eye exam. She persisted to get the receptionist's work hours in order to have one person stay on top of the issue until it was done. (My mom called it "holding a hostage".) The female receptionist first told my mother that they had already arrived and that they were at the store for a week. Angry, I retold my mother what they had told me and my mother repeated it to her over the phone. We were told she would call back after she found them. We did not trust her and only gave her ten minutes before calling back. The receptionist told us that we were correct that the glasses were not there yet and to wait for her to call us back next week. Still not trusting my mother got her to spit out her next available day that she'd be working at JCPenney Optical which was that following Tuesday.

9/8/15 Tuesday: My mother told me she did not wait on that woman's call and ended up calling JCPO to be told to wait another few days for the glasses to arrive and that they were finally completed.

9/11/15 Friday: I finally got the call at 6:30PM that they were ready for pick up. Their store hours online said they close at 7:30PM that day. I arrived at 7:05PM only to find them closed early.

9/12/15: I arrived as soon as they opened at 10AM to pick up my glasses. Both the two working the front, man and woman, looking uninterested no longer maintaining their polite demeanors for me quickly cleaned and gave me my glasses to finally be rid of me. Not a single pleasantry nor formality besides the signing was had. They gave me and my mom a hard time and yet were disgusted with us.
