I love her and the main receptionist Ana. More than once I have forgotten to make appointments to get prescriptions filled and they have helped me in a jiffy.
I don't even have insurance anymore and she still helps me out. Yes, she is brief, but all NY doctors are I have found and you just have to assert what it is you want if you are not getting it - its called speaking up. Also, I have had appointments where it should be just 10 minutes, but I was in there crying about XYZ and she was more than kind. She is professional and efficient and I actually feel like I'm talking to an old friend when I go to see her as though she is brief, you can feel she cares.

Only reason why not 5 stars is sometimes she forgets to shut the exam room door all the way and somebody can pop in with a question, which makes the office feel a little more chaotic than a doctors office should feel.

The doctor I used to work for recommended Dr. Kanumilli. Dr. Kanumilli is not professional. She is kind of rude. I strongly believe she "treats" her patients by looking at their insurance. I left my work early to see her because I was really worried about my health issues.I don't think she is caring. She spent 2 minutes with me. I didn't feel comfortable telling issues that I was having. I heard she was talking to her medical assistant at the reception area about my medication I'm taking and my medical condition which is a HIPAA violation . I'm not kidding. I swear to god that what she done to me. I saw she wasn't treating her employees right also.I will not go back to her again. Ashley is not my real name. I made a new Gmail account because for this horrible experience I had. I don't want her or employee look up my name on file.
Ms.Lola who made a comment below about me , do you think i just wanted to ruin the doctors reputation?I swear to god I cried there because of the way she treated me, the medical assistant told me it's ok honey . I don't know why doctor did that to me. I changed my doctor. Also, you don't know me so you have no right to say that it was my mistake. What ever I said was the truth I swear to God,believe or not. Your hunnie bunnie pofile name, you made only one review so far clearly shows that you are fake .And please dont vote again because you will make a bad choice. Everyone out there, if you have medicaid Medicare health first etc insurance don't go to her because she knows that she gets pay less so she don't treat you right. If you guys want to take a chance go ahead.

I must say, contrary to the reviews left by Ashley & Tony PETER, DR. KANUMILLI IS BY FAR THE BEST DOCTOR. She knows her patients extremely and obviously knows her medicine which allows her to be efficient. Beyond professional in my opinion based on my experiences with her and her staff and I can call her at ANYTIME. Her staff contacts her should she be out of the office, and responds immediately. ALWAYS so helpful! Should an emergency arise, as I also experienced, she sent me to her affiliated hospital and went to follow up on me as soon as she was done with her office hours the day of my admission. I WOULD VOTE FOR HER IF SHE RAN FOR PRESIDENT SHE IS THE BEST DOCTOR EVER!!!!!!! Sorry for your bad experience with the doctor MAYBE YOU GUYS WERE THE PROBLEM!!

She is my PCP and I have always been treated as if I am part of the family.
