To the point that it hurts,
At times attempts to help others that are already in need and financially are incapable for paying for his service or the service of a lawyer. At times this could become costly to an individual's reputation. What I would like to add is that if you cannot afford a lawyer you should get yourself a public defender because lawyers cost money.
I have known James Lisa for 47 years. Not once has he let me down and have always come to help me when I have asked. As far as education I don't know anyone with a high level of education than James Lisa.
I will also state that I am writing this on my free will and was not asked to write this so if you have a debate that you want to bring to the table anyone regarding his reputation I will be more than happy to put my analytical thinking cap on his behalf and battle his Honor and his Integrity.
James Lisa. In his younger days made many mistakes, and has paid dearly!!!
The only thing I can honestly say Mr. James Lisa needs to work on this is time management skills.
Regards,
Thomas Ribustelli Jr.

We have James Lisa before the BAR of New Jersey for embezzling from our mother's investment fund. Can't believe they let this guy practice law while under investigation by the state's attorney. Definitely wish we had known about his reputation when mother gave him all that money to handle for her.

JAMES R. LISA
169 N.J. 419 (2001)
of Jersey City (Hudson County)
Suspension 6 Months
Decided: July 12, 2001
Effective: March 23, 2000
Admitted: 1984
REPRESENTATIONS BEFORE REVIEW BOARD
Joseph S. Sherman argued the cause on behalf of the District VI (Hudson County)
Ethics Committee.
Samuel R. DeLuca argued the cause for respondent.
The Supreme Court of New Jersey held that a suspension from the practice of law for a
period of six months was the appropriate discipline for an attorney who attempted to set
up an unethical fee sharing situation with another individual. The respondent has a
history of discipline. In 1995, he was admonished for using his trust account as a business
account and failing to correct record keeping deficiencies. In 1998, respondent was
suspended from the practice of law for three months for admitting to being under the
influence of a controlled, dangerous substance, cocaine, having unlawful constructive
possession of a controlled, dangerous substance, 0.73 grams of cocaine, and unlawful
possession of drug paraphernalia. In re Lisa, 152 N.J. 455. In 1999, the respondent was
suspended from the practice of law for one year for knowingly making a false statement
of material fact to a court, practicing law while suspended and displaying dishonest
conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. In re Lisa, 158 N.J. 5.
NOW fast forward to 2008 & you'll find the same history of admonishments. Closing down office after office & running & hiding! Save yourself the headache. He's a repeat offender!!!!
