The food is great. The service could be better. The prices are a bit over priced. The bartender is definitely eye candy and knowledgeable. I heard the open bar on Thursday's are worth it.

on Saturday April 18,2015 at 7:00pm me and my family walked in and the hostess was sitting in the corner texting she did not greet us in any way she never looked up as we continued to stand there waiting to be acknowledge we stood there for a good 10 minutes then finally I got tired of waiting so I walked over to her and told her I am there with a party of 20 we have reservations and she sucked her teeth and told us she'll go find out because she don't know anything about a reservation for 20 people. Finally my cousin happen to be coming downstairs to see what is taking the family so long to get there and she seen us standing there she showed us where to go which was upstairs. We get upstairs and nothing is set up we had to push tables around and set the room ourselves. Then it took 30 minutes to get a server to come up and get an order from us for a beverage. We ordered the beverage and didn't get that until close to 30 minutes later. When we got the drinks we asked to put in our order for the entre and we did. The food got there 40 minutes later for 5 people the other 11 people had to wait. Well by the time they got there food we where done eating ours. I ordered the fried catfish and mashed potatoes with broccoli and cauliflower the catfish was good but the mashed potatoes was very salty and the grilled cauliflower and broccoli where ice cold and had no seasoning or oil on them it was just cold, bland, and dry. They was having comedy night so we had to pay 25.00 when that started our waiter came upstairs 2 times to check on us the comedian was not funny, we got bored so we went and brought some cards and we got a spade game going on. I felt sorry for the waiter because he was trying so hard to accommodate us but he could not explain why the drinks and food take so long to come out of the kitchen. They really need to tint the upstairs windows because it is very uncomfortable to watch the inmates windows and see the next door neighbors in their homes. They should get better staffing maybe an older age group because college kids just don't get the importance of running a business tactfully. This is a very nice place in a historic town and it deserve to be top shelf service. This place is to show that there are good people, and good places to go in Paterson but this place was a total turnoff and did not meet the description at all that was given online.

I will be totally honest, business wise, communication it not great. If you are planning a party make sure you are given complete details on what the fees are. Mr Jackson and Ms India are not very honest and do not share the same information concerning what is expected as far as the price and check requirements. You have to split your check in two if you have a large party and also, there is a gratuity fee of $15 a person. Question, if there is a gratuity fee for food, where is the food? We had to pay a gratuity fee and admission. That's is called double dipping. I was told by Mr. Jackson $150 minimum per table and he would supply a bottle of champagne. India was inconsistant and very hard to contact she never returned my call. I had 23 guest $220. and our appetizers totaled $151.56. Our dinner total 393.15 and all we received $12. bottle of Barefoot Peach Bubbly as a courtesy. The band is probably the best thing happening at this restaurant. My daughter and niece enjoyed themselves. Last, for a table of 23 they had one waiter serve us and we waited forever for the food to arrive. Crab cakes were horrible. One of my guest never received her mashed potatoes. We ordered fried greenbeans didnt get them. The best service given was when they served the cake and the champagne with the sparkling candles, the band excellent. Friday, 24th October.
