I love this place and have been eating there for years. A friend of mine who is from BK told me all about it and now I will drive from an hour away in NJ to have the patties and coco bread. I'm Jamaicain and it's hard to find many authentic Jamaicain bakeries/restaurants in NJ. Jackie's is the best I've had in NY thus far. Their sorrell is also homemade, which is an added bonus.

Best jerk chicken in the Bronx and i know this because ive personally tasted all jerk chicken from all restaurants that serve it in the bronx... And if you feel the cashier has a attitude trust me he doesn't its just his personality. A+ grade.

delicious jerk chicken and rice and peas. patties are excellent. the jerk chicken sandwich on coco bread is yummy. portions are large good value for price.

The food is great.. but the service is slow! Very slow. The only time the service is fast is when the manager (the tall guy) is there. The last time I came I stood on line for 15 minutes. I noticed one of the cooks had come up to the front with a look ok his face like he was wondering why it was so slow.. only to come and find a line. Then, they ran out of Jerk chicken. Running out of Jerk chicken happens, but I had to wait 15 minutes to find that out shouldn't! Now I see there's a truck that specializes in Jerk meals, and their line is getting longer every time I'm there.
I'd still recommend Jackies, but get it together.
