Great Hat place, the interior is vintage, and they have a great selection of hats

I walked in, got help (I wish I remembered the guys name) and he listened to what I wanted, made a few recommendations regarding style, price and color. He asked me what colors I wear a lot so to give me a direction to what color to choose because I was between Cordova (brown) and black. He commented on my facial structure, the color of my beard and my glasses which all ties back to the style of hat that best fits me along with the color.

I love looking sharp and this hat was a great addition. I will be back for another hat this year.

I was very happy, well attended and I walked out wit a the Stetson Asher in Cordova (brown) .. love it.

JJ Hat Center is the finest hat shop in New York, maybe in the eastern US. Last of the breed and a true class act. The selection is outstanding, prices more than fair and the staff knows hats cold. Service is also excellent. Re-blocking, new bands, ribbons, whatever you need. I have bought at least 10 fedoras, newboys and panama hats from JJ Hat Center over the years, and they have always been willing to steam, re-block and brush my hats for free whenever I stop by. JJ has also special-ordered Stetson fedoras and other hats for me without charging me extra.

A shame that Gotham no longer boasts many hat-wearing gentleman, but JJ Hat Center is where the remaining aficionados gather. If you like hats, this is where you want to be.
