Jägerhaus Gastropub & Biergarten

Had a late lunch with my husband and teenage son and loved it! I'm Austrian and grew up on great German food. The waitress was friendly and service was very quick. We tried several different appetizers, main courses and desserts, which were all delicious and beautifully presented. I also tried a specialty coffee with liquor in it that was perfect. They have a very nice beer & alcohol list and carry Kleiner Feigling (a totally yummy, low alcohol fig vodka popular with the ladies) which most German restaurants don't.

The one thing we weren't crazy about was the mountain of overly-browned, unsalted potato chips that came with the meal. An alternate choice like German potato salad (hint hint) would be great.

The restaurant is very clean, nicely decorated in a modern German design with a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Would love to sit outside in the Biergarten once the weather warms up.

Jägerhaus is a great place for drinks or a meal, I did not know a place like this existed in Whitestone. It is trendy and laid back all at once. They have generous portions for dinner and all of the desserts are amazing. I would recommend the wiener schnitzel and the pears for dessert. They also have an outdoor area for seating when it is warm outside.

I'm not normally into German food, but I came here for lunch with the guys I work with. I got the Yager Burger which was VERY good. For dessert I got a double espresso and two Scoops of vanilla ice cream. I'll definitely be coming back here with my boyfriend (who is German and loves German food) very soon.

The food and service are exceptional.
Fun atmosphere and the beer selection is great. Family or couple environment. Outdoor beer garden is festive and at the same time private from the street. Walk ins are warmly greeted with little wait, but reservations I suggest for weekend evening.
