My fiance recently purchased what was to have been a 14K gold chain that weighed 72 grams for 2,150 from this jewelry store. Upon bringing it home and showing it to me, I noticed the links had a gold and copper look to it. I advised him to let me have it looked at by another jeweler to make sure it was indeed 14K through and through. After being scratched and dropping some type of a liquid on it, we were told the chain was 1OK and heavily plated with 14K gold. The jeweler told us that the price for a 10K chain should have been 1,100 and for a 14K it should have cost 2,200. My fiance was almost ripped off of over 1,000 for a 10K chain!!!! He went back to the store and of course the owner tried to say it was a Russian gold chain and that was the reason for the coloring. He made himself look like a fool because the stamp on the lock said ITALY. He also tried to say the store policy did not allow for refunds. After threatening to call the police, the owner gave in and credited his money back to his card. The owner's son who was the one who sold the chain to my fiance was seen in back of the store and did not have the courtesy to even come out and resolve the problem. TAKE MY ADVICE, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!
