Poor quality control. Bok Choy looked and tasted like it was found in the drain of the vegetable prep sink. Pork buns missing from combo deal. When I called to complain the first guy asked me to hold and then hung up on me. I called back and the lady apaologised but gave the excuse that it was busy. She also said that she personally packed my order. Order was placed through Caviar. So either the people at Ivan do not pay attention to details or the delivery guy from Caviar ate my pork buns, found a new bag to put my order in and then found a stapler. It was too late to get a replacement so we just went hungry. Bad first experience with both Ivan Ramen and Caviar.
I must say that I did give them 3 stars as the Shio broth was quite good.

Albeit rather pricey, I enjoyed a very delicious vegetarian ramen bowl. The vegetable broth is very tasty and not too salty, as is the case with many other similar bowls. Everything in my bowl, from the noodles to the vegetables was very well seasoned and prepared. There are plenty of refreshing items in the menu, such as the ramen burgers. Ivan Ramen is one of the many great businesses in the Gotham West food hall.

Truly world-class Ramen. Only the best Ramen of Washington D.C. comes close. You come to quickly understand why Japanese critics rate his noodles as perfect, and his Shio Ramen broth as great. Tried every other top shop in NY and was surprised that no one else was on this level. I cook a lot and have ramen cookbooks (as well as have lived in Japan), so ignore the reviews of the amateurs; this is where chefs go to eat.
