Great Doctor

I was assigned to Dr. Issa through a newly acquired health insurance plan. This visit was essentially to get referrals for specialists, who were within my network, as I had recently seen my former PCP, two month before for a complete checkup (without health insurance.) About three days before my visit, my legs and feet started swelling up like balloons, and it became quite painful to walk! I went to Dr. Issa with complete lab results from my physical, with my swollen legs and feet. Dr. Issa pinpointed this problem immediately. (Pitting Edema) My former PCP had prescribed the wrong medication for high cholesterol; my high blood pressure medication was not the most efficient one for me as well. He immediately changed one medication and added another. When I went for my follow up the next week, the pitting edema was down 95%, and my blood pressure he said “Was as low as a nine-teen year old” I have always been a fast healer, but without Dr. Issa’s quick prognosis, who knows how long this malady might have gone on for. On my third visit (all in the month of May 2014) I still had the extreme leg pain without the swelling, and he carefully explained procedures that could be done to rectify this. Three days after my last visit, my leg pain also subsided! Not only did Dr. Issa immediately get me on the right track, I also like his general up beat positive attitude, and he has a great bedside manner. The ladies in his office are pleasant, and courteous, and I had no problem reaching them when I had to reschedule one of my appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Issa!
