Your prices are comparable to the services you preform. We had another vet before the best thing we did was get a recommendation to Island Bird Cat & Dog Vet Group.

If your pets need care, this is the place for them. I've been going to Dr Frank Scandaglia for many years now, and he has been the most excellent, professional, and caring veterinarian. He truly has a love for all animals and will treat you and your pet(s) like family. The staff is great, very friendly and they love their patients. They have even emailed me after visits to follow up on my dog!

OK, I normally don't write reviews, but in this case I have to. In short, Dr. Frank Scandaglia is amazing! I have three ferrets and he treats them like they are his own. He interact with them in a loving and caring manner. They actually get happy when they see him and the staff. It is a real piece of mind knowing that they are in good hands when I go away and leave them with him to watch over till I return. As far as treatments go, it is difficult to find a Vet that knows a variety of animals, trust me I know. Dr. Frank is on top of it and makes certain that they are treated with an up to date approach. I love my pets and Dr. Frank shows that he does too. As far as prices go, he is very reasonable. I live in New Jersey and travel to Staten Island to have my pets treated. Even with the gas and toll it is cheaper that all of the other vets that i have interacted with. Definitely worth the trip for the awesome service.

I have seen many Veterinarians over the years, and I can say without reservation that Dr. Scandaglia is a truly wonderful and compassionate Doctor. I have an African Grey, a French Bulldog and two Cats, and they have all been cared for by Dr. Frank and staff. Throughout all visits, the experience has always been nothing short of fantastic.
His staff is friendly and knowledgeable, scheduling is simple. He also specializes in Avian Care and Medicine, which is crucial for "Max", my African Grey! Whether it was exam, boarding, meds, or getting special dietary food, I have always been satisfied with the results.
I have absolute HORROR stories dealing with quite a few other Veterinary practices on Staten Island, regardless of "word of mouth", or the fact that they're more "popular".
I would implore you to try Island Bird... truly a diamond in the rough :)

Can't say enough about Dr. Scandaglia and his staff. They are the most caring and compassionate people I've ever met. Dr. Scandaglia has been caring for my pets for over 15 yrs. Everything from broken thumb nails to IBS. He's the best.
His prices are fair and service can't be beat. My dogs are always so excited to see him because they love and trust in him.
