I was with Investors Bank for over 10 years. They started out great with a high standard for customer service. Their big selling point was trying to create a relationship with their customers with more human touch than the bigger banks. Note that all of that was past-tense. Now, they've seemed to lose this.
When I approached them looking for a mortgage in 2010, they treated me no differently than any lender I approached online, despite the many years I had been with them. Recently, they removed the ATM at the Northfield Ave, Livingston location because someone was complaining about the light being on at night. Talk about a big hit to convenience.
I received very poor service at this location on a recent trip there and it wasn't until after I was fed up and walked out before someone chased after me to try to help me. Too late. When I informed their customer service group about this, the branch office's manager called me and offered me a "sorry, but." I may be old-fashioned, but if you give me a "sorry, but" then everything you said before the "but" counts for nothing.
I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Thumbs-down, Investors Bank. Thumbs down.
