Well this wasn't what I was expecting as a newcomer to Newark. Small, independent, very, very friendly spot. Not tons of food choices, but good coffee and a lot of tea options, it seems. (Not a tea fan, but there is a lot of dedicated tea ware, etc.)

Completely and utterly blown away by this quaint little hole in the wall. Best place to go in Newark.

Such a cute little cafe. There is a hookah bar in the courtyard out back with a fire pit, and they have a great range of fun drinks and fresh, made-in-house baked goods.

Its the best bubble tea around, which might not say much since it's in Newark,NJ but it gets the job done. Their special on Friday makes it a popular hang out for the students at NJIT, ECC, and Rutgers.Great Filipino dishes and other asian fare. Baked goods are great too. They even publish a littel newsletter about the goings on in Newark. Check them out!
