One of the best Italian restaurants in NJ. The food is delicious, tasty, authentic and prepared in an eye pleasing manner. The service is the best and Remy is an outstanding and gracious host/ owner. We love good home made Italian food and Il Vicolo stands out as one of the best and has become our number one restaurant because of their outstanding dishes. Last but not least, you cannot beat their prices and it is a BYOB establishment. Ask for Mikhail, one of the best servers in the business. Charles Cox

A family member booked a Communion party here that was from 1PM-4PM. The first problem was that the room was not set up to accommodate the DJ and therefor had to be rearranged. The room temperature was over 80 degrees and the owners could care less. They also tried to pull the curtain divider thus intensifying the heat. People repeatedly complained about the excessive temperature to no avail. A pregnant guest had to leave before any food was served due to the heat. The pasta course was ok but the restaurant was cheap about bringing out extra bread or having parmesan cheese on the table. You had to ask every time you wanted some. The salad dressing was terrible. There was no flavor, only oil. Dinner was average. They then tried to rush dessert as an apparent attempt to get us to leave early. They also started resetting tables at 3:30PM while our party was still going. They had booked another party for 4PM which is extremely poor business management when your previous party is supposed to end at 4PM. This unprofessionalism was initiated by the owner. Confronting the owner resulted in a 10 minute delay before they were at it again. Many attending family members are in the food service industry and were appalled by their display of unprofessionalism, disregard for their customers, and overall extremely poor attitude that these issues were being brought up. The owner also broke one of the gifts by knocking it off one of the tables he was trying to reset. He left it on the floor and could care less that he ruined the child's gift. When brought to his attention, he said nothing. He also said nothing when other party guests complained about the various issues that arose in this short 3 hour span. He already knew what he was making off the party so therefore he didn't care about satisfying the party members, most of whom live in town. There would be no reason to support this business when they have no regard for customers other then getting their money.
