Il LUOGO restaurant

Excellent!!! It was my birthday on Saturday and I was unable to be seated at the restaurant of my choice. I went into II LUOGO to see if their was anyway we could have dinner there. Upon entering I was greeted very pleasantly and even though they were full, they made every effort to accomadate me. The food was amazing!!! and the atmosphere was very appealing. I would definitely return and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience a quiet and romantic evening with good food,

A true GEM in Lynbrook. I've been here many times! The food is spectacular and the service is first class. Never a disappointment. NYC style and class on Long Island.

Our waiter was extremely personable and knowledgeable of the specials and menu. He definitely wanted to please us. We started with a bottle of red and the pear salad. The service was excellent. They brought the salad and served it to us. Always attentive whereas they filled our glasses with wine every time they passed our table. The salad was very nicely done. Not overly dressed and extremely tasty and satisfying. My girlfriend had chicken Francoise. Generous portion. I had the mixed seafood special. Mussels, clams, shrimp, saluted calamari, & a lobster tail . Not overly sauced. Great dish. Again, very generous portion.

At that point we did not need desert but we had espresso, decaf, a raspberry sorbet, & Creme Brulé. Creme brulé was very creamy. Delicious. Being it was my birthday, they stuck a huge sparkler in my sorbet and the entire staff sang to me. I was the third of the evening at that point.

There were a lot if choices on the specials list. They have plenty if fish dishes and offer plenty of meat & steak as well. I thought the prices were very reasonable and thought the check would have been more. I will definitely be back.
