Good food, staff if friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a little stuffy for my taste though.

Before you special order any entrée, ask the price. If you do not, the owner will charge you an unbelievable amount. Recently a friend of mine went there with a person who dines there a lot, when I say a lot I mean probably 15 times a month. This person spends a fortune and tips extremely well. They requested a special order and the greedy owner charged them an exorbitant amount. My friend was shocked, I was shocked, everyone I told this story to was shocked. What was the dish? A pasta and seafood dish that they were charged $70. for each entrée. What???!!!! That's more than a lobster dinner, more than a premium steak at an upscale steakhouse. Watch out for this owner if he thinks you are the least bit clueless/gullible (or elderly) he will rip you off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son and future daughter in law recommended IL Castello. My husband and I enjoyed every part of the evening, from the first drop of wine, appetizers, entrée to dessert. The food was divine, the service superb the staff never missed a beat and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who came to visit Mamaroneck and surrounding area! Thank you to Lenny and his staff they are wonderful!
