Melissa from Ideal is a true professional! I’ve been renting apartments with her help for four years, and I’m excited to start the search for my new co-op now. Just felt like sharing, and will be updating this review to keep everyone posted on how it all pans out.

Truthfully finding an apartment may be the worst, most gut-wretching experience imaginable. You never really find the apartment you see online — Craigslist is the most guilty of this — and you are unloading a whole lot cash for a place you won’t own.

But that’s where Ideal bucks the trend.

There’s never any “hidden” twists and catches. The photos you seen on their website is the ones you seen in person. And they are always willing to make sure you don’t pay more than you need to. In fact, my apartment-finding experience with Ideal included one tidbit that many companies don’t have: honesty.

I had gotten an apartment in Downtown Brooklyn after and I signed the lease and paid the move-in costs, including the fee for the broker. Three days after I moved in I got a call from Dwight (my agent) saying that the apartment was actually a “No-fee”. That meant that I didn’t need to pay the agent since the landlord would take care of those costs. Dwight had a check waiting for me for my refund. I don’t know if this is common but generally most real estate places get the rep for being greedy. Ideal Properties isn’t one of those. Thank you again!!!!
