Icon Parking Systems

My husband and I parked our car for 24 hours at the Icon parking garage on 245 E 40th Street. We arrived around 9pm on Friday (11/18/11) and the attendant took our keys and a coupon we had printed for $26 for 24 hours parking at this location. As my husband and I walked to our hotel, we discussed how the attendant had kept the coupon and thought that perhaps they keep them with the keys when they check the cars in. The following day when we picked up our car, the same attendant admitted that he remembered taking the coupon from us and looking at it, but denied keeping it and charged us the full $37 for parking. At first I thought that he had just forgot, but talking with him it became clear that he took advantage of our inexperience, which is not a good way to treat customers.

As soon as they get in the car, they speed up like racers when the car is not even warm yet. If you have a turbo car, do yourself a favor and park somewhere else.
