Do not hire this contractor. They come off trustworthy at first but they will cut corners and leave you with an inferior product. They will not correct their mistakes and avoid your request.
Quick summary. Hired to excavated and pour 1200sqft concrete slab and foundation. They neglected to install a vapor barrier and 6inch of RCS base as per the construction drawings. In doing so the soil under the concrete was not prepared correct. Months after the concrete was poured, the slab sustained multiple cracks throughout. Basically all the edges settled lower than the center. Hired outside concrete testing lab to take a core sample and test the concrete. That’s when it was found the RCS base and vapor barrier was missing. Contacted I.C.C multiple times but Joey kept making excuses or didn’t respond. It cost 15K for the work and will cost 16K to correct their mistakes since the structure is already built.
