I went to Bay Academy expecting to have a fun year since it was my first year in Middle School, I had a good academic performance and I did what I was supposed to, but here is some things that I caught on when going to Bay Academy.
I got bullied for being a certain race which is very unfair, I told an adult like people told me to, and they still didn't do anything. Parents, I wouldn't advice you putting your child in a school like this, especially in Brooklyn which has a bad reputation for bad behavior which can take part in some schools such like this one, Bay Academy. To add onto this, I've seen 8th graders or lower smoke outside or do bad behavior that is constantly repeated but they never get caught for doing so. Even worse, I've seen 8th graders peer pressure the lower grades such as 7th and 6th graders, they're usually in gangs. I've seen many other bad acts against students, but no one takes action, even if they see it happen. Again, parents, I wouldn't advice you putting your kid into this school as you're putting your kid into danger. Since I was bullied and I told my parents about all the bad acts, they had to change my school. Even though I had a bad time there, I will forever miss the friends I made there, and all the good times I had with my favorite teachers and staff.
