This school is living proof that education is going down the drain. I'm surprised by the number of positive reviews, but maybe times have changed since I graduated here in 2003 and perhaps they got a better administration in.
Anyways, Let's start from the exterior/interior which I can't really complain much about since they are trying to keep the place somewhat less prison-like looking than the high school I went to. The bathrooms though? Yes there basically is only one bathroom for each gender and I can't speak for the girls' bathroom but the boys' bathroom is constantly clogged and its stalls are broken and it does not look like anyone takes care of it. Also since most kids act like savage animals, that restroom really isn't safe.
Speaking of safety, there's the thing that this school neglects. Teachers and deans act borderline hostile towards anyone who complains not just about being bullied, but about being physically hurt, but boy do they love breaking up fights. A few times that I dared to hit back, the dean (Mr. Arfin, who I hope to God does not work there anymore) threatened to call the police on me and put me in juvinile hall, while he said absolutely nothing to the offender. I have also heard from others and experienced it myself, the hostile behavior of teachers and administration towards foreign kids (I even on more than one occasion remember a teacher openly using racial slurs to refer to certain foreign kids). The deans and teachers "defended their own" and encouraged the bullies to "stick it to the foreigners". I also have experienced a teacher talking to a parent of one kid who was accused of bullying some other kid, and she referred to the kid as "mentally challenged" even though he wasn't. Basically there are lots of racist tendencies and behaviors on the parts of teachers and administration. Not to mention, kids are marched to and from class like pigs.
Almost forgot to mention the cafeteria. During the lunch period, you were only allowed to sit with your own class and you were not allowed to pick up lunch until your class was called, which means if your class was called last, by the time you got to where you pick up your prison food, they'd be out of almost everything.
So in conclusion, just send your child to catholic school if you don't want them to end up in therapy.

I went to this school and graduated in 2013. What can I say? I can't even begin to explain all of the reasons why I began to hate this school after the first half of my first year there. To begin with, the teachers and the administrators treat all of the students like infants. Sixth, seventh, and even eighth grade students are walked from class to class by the teachers, just like in elementary school. How are students supposed to learn to be independent in preparation for high school? Secondly, the administration is extremely lazy and not caring about the students' interests. There is one restroom for each gender in the whole school. The boy's bathroom has 2 stalls, both of which are completely broken and unusable. In addition, the toilets are constantly clogged and overflowing with feces and urine, leading to urine being on the floor and creating an unbelievably powerful odor. There are never any tissues and the soap dispenser hasn't been filled in ages. The mirror is broken and the water smells like sewage (I am not exaggerating any of this). The cafeteria constantly smells awful, and although there are always "monitors" "cleaning" it, there are somehow always spilled ketchup packets on the tables and the floors (more about cafeterias later). Another example of their laziness and carelessness about the students is the lack of activity planning. There are no trips except for the senior trip to an amusement park at the end of eighth grade. The only activities that they plan are stupid dances twice a year and maybe a movie night. That's it. Very few extracurricular activities and clubs, too. There were no sports teams either, despite having two gym teachers. This brings me to gym. I would just like to say that I hated the fact that gym was not co-ed, because the boys' gym teacher was awful and never gave grades higher than 95, while the girls' gym teacher was actually serious and gave higher grades, which gave girls a higher competitive edge in terms of averages. The boys' gym teacher was extremely lazy and never did anything with his class. He just sat in the corner while half of the class played basketball and the other half sat on the floor. Next on my list, the school was very sexist toward boys. The teachers always let girls into the classrooms first, and made the boys wait out in the hallway for up to five minutes. Girls were always called to get their lunch first, and girls were always treated better in general. When a few boys out of a crowd misbehaved, all of the boys got punished. This was not the case with the girls. The girls were often let off the hook. Now, back to the cafeteria, we were not allowed to speak for the first 15 minutes of the period (an explanation for which I asked and was never given), and when somebody spoke during these fifteen minutes, the whole cafeteria was prohibited from speaking for the rest of the period, and sometimes given an assignment to complete. Can you imagine, prohibiting children from speaking to each other during the period that was intended for socializing? And if you were to speak, you would be moved to the dreaded assignment table, where you would have to sit alone "until further notice". Who the f*ck do they think they are? Not to mention, we were given assigned seats. We couldn't even choose who to talk to, we could only talk to the people next to us, regardless of whether we wanted to. I'm sorry for this long review, but I'm just really passionate about exposing the truth about the terrible treatment of students at this school. Please, do not make the mistake of sending your child to this middle school.
