Larry Aronson quoted me a fee, and then confirmed it four separate times. But when he saw I could "afford" to pay more, based on my income and assets, he broke his word, and mailed me a bill, without asking for consent, for another 56.5%. As a result of his unethical conduct, I am calling for a local and state boycott of his firm.
As tax season approaches, I am humbly and respectfully requesting that no one use Hyman and Aronson. It is morally reprehensible to promise a fee of $1,075 time and again, and then, for no rational reason--other than raw greed and naked dishonesty--to send a bill for $1,875. Of course, i did not pay anything beyond the oral contract, but please beware. Fraud is fraud.
