I was detailed to the firehouse across the street on 10/7/13. Being that parking is a bit of a problem, I was double parked waiting for someone to move their car at the change of tours. One of the men came out and shouted, "hey jerk -ff, move your f--king car. Then he threatened to ram my car with his truck. Whatever happened to a bit of courtesy like excuse me sir, could you please move your car? I didn't even bother argueing because the fellow seemed so unreasonable.
HUB maybe the best home improvement business in the city; I don't know. I never dealt with them on that level. However, if this is the way they treat a person and potential customer on the street, I would see no reason to take my business here. I won't and when talking to other people I would recommend they take there busness elsewhere too.

Our experience with everyone at HUB was wonderful. We were affected by Super Storm Sandy and it was a very emotional time for our family. Anthony at HUB, along with his crew, came in and worked incredibly hard to make sure all of our needs were met. The team was so responsive and always ready to resolve any concern we had, immediately and effectively. The quality of the work and constant attention to detail throughout the entire process was fantastic. We would have never made it through that time without the support and hard work of our friends at HUB. Thank you!

Hub's work was adequate when I had relatively large jobs, $1,500 plus. John, the boss, served me personally and promised he'd show up even for small jobs. I will never need or be able to afford a gut renovation but I have a 100 year old brownstone in Park Slope and need constant small jobs and always will. John told me no job was too small and, because there is tons of work needed and no particular urgency, I hoped he'd be true to his word. He chatted me up very deliberately and spent 30 minutes just schmoozing. However, when I needed a small job he took the work, promised completion, then put me on the back burner and kept me hanging. I called again recently for another small job, hoping he'd follow through and he has failed to return my calls. Maybe this is par for the course with general contractors. I would not recommend Hub if you want to be dealt with fairly and honestly.
