HSBC Bank

Stay away. I had to open a estate account for my deceased father. Me and my sister are administrators. They require both of us to be present to open the estate account and she is located in Florida. I had to fly her from Florida to NY to open this account. It took them an hours to process all the paperwork and finally got everything done. Next day, they required two more signatures which we gave them. 2 week later the estate account was "closed" for no reason and they are telling me they cant do anything about it. Now I need to fly my sister back to new york to open an estate account with another bank. waste of time and money. Plane tickets aint cheap. Never dealing with HSBC again. Im in the process of closing my premier accounts and switching to TD or Schwab.

Need a bank check for closing, after waited for an hour and half, was told they can't give the check to me because my account name does not match my name on my driver's license. I never had any problem with other branches because HSBC told me there is a note section with my aka name. Why do I have to wait for 1.5 hours to find out I can't get the check? Where is the efficiency? I was there a month ago for a much larger bank check and they gave it to me, so needless to say, this branch as no standard process.

What's more outrageous is after return from the bank, I found out this branch already debited my account without giving me a check!!! Now my husband can't go ask for a bank check since this is the joint account. I had to go back there again make sure they put the money back in our account.

They should be shamed for such a lousy and unprofessional services, I would give them no star if possible.

The place is OK, they have safe deposit boxes available which is open from 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm; Monday to Friday.

Total disrespect for their customers. Their workers just don't care about the customers. Worse run branch in the HSBC system. If you go there, be prepared for the employees making lots of mistakes with your account. They can't even get an address change right after 4 visits. I've had an account here for 10 years. HSBC doesn't seem to police their branches or customer satisfaction. Your money is not safe here.
