I purchased Ivorian cocoa stretch mark creme believing that it would have the same ingredients as Ivorian cocoa butter that was purchased a couple of years in the past. The website did not list the ingredients before you select to place the items in your cart, it only lists a description with all the nice sounding ingredients, such as cocoa butter, shea butter, vitamin e, hazelnut and oatmeal, without making a mention of filtered water, soy flour, soy protein, wheat protein, and lactic acid. We didn't want all that nonsense, and we were expecting the ingredients that were listed on the product description page. When the original purchase was made, "click for more details" DID NOT list the extra ingredients. There was not a listing of the extra ingredients on the page, however, when trying to "click more details" while on the phone with house of nubian to see the ingredients it simply wasn't working. They were CLEARLY working on the website and changing things as we were having the conversation. After having a 30 minute plus discussion with Darryl McCray, the owner, who was incredibly rude to my wife and I said that there could be no refund or exchange, but instead wished to offer me a "discount" to offset my wasted money, $3 off of something that costs $15 in order to make up for the $60 I spent on 3 4oz jars of. That obviously will not take offset the $60 that I just spent on an inferior product that I was misled to purchase in the first place. I told the gentleman that I simply wanted a refund or exchange for being misled by the website and the sales representative. I advised him to place the ingredients on every page that has a description.
The best part is that now, this can't even be validated, because the website has been subsequently changed. You can thank my wife and I's wasted $60 for that. That is the worst part, because the website has been changed... and it is because of this. So obviously they knew they were in the wrong by not listing the ingredients, and still not even an exchange. This is unacceptable customer service and I hope this review helps anybody who is considering buying from house of nubian. BEWARE.
