Hotel Indigo Rahway-Newark

Decor is a little cold. Great for commuting to manhattan.

This place was not at all as I expected after all of the good reviews it has. Its a walking ikea showroom. This place is just for looks it really does not have a function other than to sleep or watch limited TV channels. First, there is no parking as you have to pay to park in a lot next door $12.00 for the day. Once you get into the room everything looks great (again just visuals) then you start looking for the things that most hotel rooms have. Microwave and/or mini refrigerator. Well there is not one of those things there. HUGE closet, but who really travels with that much clothing to fill a closet that big. No climate control, either the room is really cold or hot. Expensive room service (maybe this is why there is no microwave or fridge) food not so great. The night that I stayed with my boyfriend, the electricity went out for the whole entire building. We tried calling the front desk from the room but no answer, I then proceeded to call from my cell phone and someone picked up right away and that is when we found out it was out for the whole building and they were working on it. VERY disappointed and will never go back again.

Rooms can be too cold and winter due to lack of carpet. But has great location, right in front of train station that an take you new York city.

very nicely appointed modern rooms with spa type shower at reasonable price. Easy access from I-95 NJpike or 278 verrazanos bridge & easy parking to elevators. Has free business center with web,printer all the usual & a nice little starbucks on site for the AM... I don't think there was a restaurant on site but the lady at check in recommended lucio's which was in walking distance a couple of blocks on main street really great meal authentic!!!

To get into the city is easy as the train station is literally right outside the hotel which will take you right into penn station (34th).. or if your insane and want to drive in it isn't that bad as couple of exits on the pike & your in the holland tunnel.

I'd defintley stay here again if in NYC area, but didn't need to stay in manhattan

My husband and I are always treated like King and Queen at this hotel such a great place to stay!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!
