I didn't want to write any review, but people should know this. Be careful in this place, do not let teachers touch you!!! I don't want to specify but one lady is extremely unprofessional. After telling her, please do not touch me, she took my legs and made me to do a headstand. If she has at least some knowledge about human body, she would notice that my shoulders are not ready for it yet. Now I regret that I did not kick her with my leg, because I have terrible headaches and giddiness for 2 weeks already and have to wast a fortune for a manual therapy. Be careful!

Signed up for a class Sunday January 31st. Classed have been going great, teachers were great. Today (Wednesday) my 4th class Yoga class ever, was taught by Amanda McDonald. The class was the toughest I have taken but good. At one point towards the last 15 minutes of the class, I sat back to take a sip of water and to rest for a minute. Amanda walks by and says "Either you participate or go into child post, dont just sit here feeling sorry for yourself" EXCUSE ME?? Who are you to tell me this?? I took my blankets and blocks put them back rolled up the mat and stormed out. As I come out from dressing room, there were no more towels in the locker rooms, so I took 3-4 pieces of napkins from the front desk. Long black curled hair girl tells me "WOWWWWW thats a lot of tissues!!" I said what? "You took a lot of tissues!! thats bad for the environment!!" Im like you already bought it, its already bad, she says "yea but they are sooo expensive!!" So you telling me they are expensive or they are bad for environment? Or you are telling a paying client that they cannot take 3 pieces of tissues from a box that cost 99 cents in the store??? She gave me an attitude and pretended that she was on the phone. Never coming here again.

This is a nice studio with a great view, but if it is going to market itself as a "hot" yoga studio (as opposed to "low heat" or "warm") then the temperature would definitely have to be higher. Those coming from Bikram or typical hot power yoga studios will probably find the heat at Brooklyn Hot Spot far too low. However, if you're looking for a studio with rather low heat this would be a good option for you.

Beautiful space with an array of experienced Yoga Teachers from many different lineages of Hatha Yoga.
The studio has floor to ceiling windows and overlook the bay with picturesque skyline views that really enhance the yoga practice adding an element of nature.
I know that most of the teachers there have many years of experience teaching and combined easily thousands of hours of training with master teachers.
If you are looking for specific benefits from yoga ask your front desk or one of the senior teachers and they will definitely direct you to the proper class for you.
I highly recommend this studio.

Some teachers are great! Amanda especially. I was commuted to this studio for over 2 years!!
That said... The customer service is terrible! Jaine, the owner of the studio, has extremely poor people skills and is un-accommodating! After I put my account on hold for 6 months, I was charged without notification. When I asked for a refund, she refused to give it to me even though the services were not used! She said I still had time to use all my sessions even though there were 2 days left in the month!
As a customer for over 2 years I expected better treatment! I had every intention of taking workshops and single classes in this studio prior to this experience but now will never go back! So disappointed! And this is supposed to be a yoga studio where you come to relax from your day. Too much drama
