Great place for some reasonably priced, standard Chinese food. Service was fast and the staff is very kind. The fried rice is extremely good with its own slightly different taste.

Sad to say but the food tasted like plastic. And the staff was rude. They didn't give chopsticks and then hesitated when I went back to the place to ask for them. They also don't like substitutions and additions.

I got the chicken and broccoli with brown rice and it was surprisingly great. I asked for the white rice, but was happy with the mixup. This really is simple, but well prepared and clean Chinese food.

Only ordered takeout, so can't speak to service, but the food was delicious, if simple chinese. The mapo tofu (vegetarian, yay!) had great spicing and flavor. It's hard to find legitimately spicy chinese food on this side of town, and this place delivers the goods.

Grand Sichuan is much better, and only a block away. Zagat rated, and cozy! Cheaper too!
I should of known by the presumptuous name "Hot Sichuan", as if you would think it's served cold!
If I could give it one Star I would. I stopped in on the way to work, not sure if it was my appearance, Jeans and a hat, but I was immediately treated poorly. I didn't think my appearance was inappropriate, as I was the only person in the restaurant.
I Let it go anyway, and asked for my customary dish, Chicken cashews, white meat. I always ask for White meat, because this dish is often made with mixed chicken.
The dish came out, and looked good, but made in the customary manner, completely ignoring my request, Even though I would gladly pay extra, as per my request.
I respectfully asked if it was indeed white meat, but was given a tremendous attitude, and my opinion disregarded entirely.
I imagine they do well, as they are in a prime location, but that doesn't mean they remotely have a clue. Do yourself a favor, and eat elsewhere, I wouldn't eat anywhere someone acts as if your eating something for the first time. God knows what they'll try and feed you!
Final thought, I'm glad I left, because I just ate the meal I wanted Chicken with Cashews and actual white meat, just a block away, near the Joyce theater!
Cheaper, and much better in every way!
