Great location for your homebrewing needs. They have most grains, hops and yeast on hand. They will measure out and mill all the grain you need. They staff was friendly as well.

Pete the owner is the best. He'll help you out with whatever you need to brew or with advice to help you brew better. Always my first choice of where to go for supplies.

As a neophyte brewer, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had already attended one of H&H's Homebrewing 101 classes. Pete then walked me through my first home brew. He helped me decide on a style, and guided me through the brewing process with a very laid-back, knowledgeable approach. I appreciated that he patiently answered all my questions. The guy has a passion for brewing, which is a much better experience than home-brew shops staffed by people that seem to know nothing about brewing. Oh, and of course the shop has a huge selection of ingredients, guides, and equipment.

I've been homebrewing since January 2014. I've been to a few homebrew supply shops all over Long Island, but Homebrews and Handgrenades is by far the best shop of them all. The shop is clean and brightly lit, you can get all your base and some specialty malts ground on premesis, to the oz for the majority (certain specialty grains are only available in 1lb bags), and all the hops and yeast are fresh. If he didn't have something, he would order it, and he is always helpful when you ask for his opinion of a recipe. Almost everything I learned about homebrewing, I learned through picking Pete's brain. If you are thinking about homebrewing, or have been brewing for years, this is the place to go to.

Great shop! Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, great selection of grains, yeasts and extracts for anything you want to brew. I'm there several times a week, if it's not for ingredients then it's for the knowledge I can acquire from the friendly staff. Relax, have a homebrew.
