Its an express I get it, but "do nothing" front end people and rude breakfast staff makes this place a 1 in my book. There is 1 and only 1 front end lady who gets things done when asked or told about(she looks like Emma Stone) the rest say things that will make you a happy guest, until you realize nothing you told them went farther than their mind (not even to paper). On the other hand these "do nothing" front end people are a breeze compared to one of the ladies that sets up breakfast in the morning. Never in all my travels have I met a more passively aggressive staff member. The group of people I work with are 3rd shift workers who average 13 hours a day, its a joy to get back in time to get free breakfast even if we only have 10 to 15 minutes. Each time this particular staff member works she makes us all feel like we are a burden to her. As the clock counts down she starts announcing that the room is closed, even when there are 7+ people eating. I don't have a problem with shutting down the food service, my problem is with her telling us all this over and over like 3 times a minute for a good 5 to 7 minutes, very obnoxious, unprofessional and rude. Today 11/3/2015 we arrived at 9:45AM and her and a cleaning lady were standing in front of the food with all the lights turned off as if they were guarding the food. When asked if there was any food left she stated there was a little, as we approached she didn't move. She staying in front of the food blocking us, so I reached around her and she finally moved out of the way. At about 9:53AM a few co-workers come in to get some breakfast and she tells them that she will get them trays to take the food up to the rooms. Didn't ask, didn't suggest, flat out told them to take their food upstairs, multiple times. Then the cleaning lady and her had a moment about how if we took our trays upstairs then she would have to clean it up and they laughed. Then they brought all of us in on the joke, so basically as guests of this hotel for 4 straight weeks we are not guests, we are burdens that she does not want around. If this HIE keeps getting workers like this they won't have us around anymore. Don't stay here if you can avoid it, its just worth going someplace else.

When we walked in we immediately saw food on the floor, and sticky spots on the desk. Also the blinds were see-through, and the heavy curtains were on a short track so wouldn't close, meaning during the day if we wanted to sleep we couldn't, and at night with the lights on anyone could see in. Later we found out our toilet was broken, this was the last straw & so I went down to front desk & mentioned all this & all she said was they'd send someone up but no one came - so we spent the rest of the night going into the basement to use the bathroom. Also, there was no safe in the room, and I asked the girl at the front desk if there was supposed to be & she said no so we brought all our stuff with us when we left the room for any reason. I later found out (via the little folder they hid in a drawer) that they offer lock boxes at the front desk.
Around 4am I went down to use the bathroom & decided to mention the toilet situation to the man at the front desk who said they couldn't move us since the hotel was booked, but they would fix it in the morning. In the morning no one came so I went down & mentioned it to a third person at the front desk, Maria (aka the only person who was actually helpful), and she finally got someone up there to fix it (she even mentioned taking $20 off the bill, which I saw on the receipt but have yet to see in my bank account).
Later in the trip I noticed that two outlets didn't work right, one in the wall looked shattered, and the lamp plugged into it had an outlet that was broken. The vents in the air conditioner & hair dryer looked like they'd never been clean, and there were cobwebs on the ceiling.

Only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1: shower head was nice, & bed was comfortable, I enjoyed the movie channels on the TV. Maria at the front desk in the morning was helpful.

Cleaning staff needs lessons!!!! Not nasty but no use of broom or vacuum.... Also left something in room came back for it and gone... No reports of it in lost n found..... Hmmmm...yeah ok

Always Great! Consistently clean, neat and friendly. It's like a small corner of my home all throughout the country.

I see some reviews complaining about the hotels lack of amenties but if you wanted a hotel with pool etc you hshould have looked one up with that. Hotel is very good. Clean rooms with great breakfast. It's not a shady area either
