If so - hire Hofmeister Plumbing. I made that horrible mistake.

I hired Alan for a small bathroom project. He was supposed to "install 4 bathroom fixtures" (a tub, a shower panel, a toilet and a sink.) And let me tell you, he's awesome at making false promises.

First his crew came to install the tub. They found 5 different things to whine and complain about, despite having my bathroom renovation specialist bring in the tub straight to the bathroom for them. So all they had to do was "settle it in." They ended up flooding my neighbor downstairs with their nonsense.

Then I spent one lovely day stuck at home, waiting for Alan's crew for 7 hours... Once they finally showed up it was 4:20 p.m. (and my building only allows construction work between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.) They "installed" the toilet. And by that I mean that I unwrapped the whole thing, moved it into the bathroom myself and they simply hooked up its back. They didn't even caulk it!

Now don't expect Alan to ever pick up his phone when you try calling him.
But he decided that "we owe him money for the first part of the project", so he drove 20 miles at 11:30 at night in the pouring rain just so he can collect the $.

His crew was supposed to come a third time to hook up our sink and shower panel. Now this is the best part - after hiding half the morning, Alan finally decided to text my husband, informing him that nobody will be coming over to finish the job. I had to have my bathroom remodeler hang the shower panel. And I hired another plumber to install the sink.

I guess my small project seemed insignificant enough so Alan couldn't be bothered with it. People like him make my hackles rise beyond imagination.

But the joke is on him, because I now need a plumber for 2 other (bigger) bathrooms, as well as a commercial project. Had everything gone well with my bathroom, I could've hired him again. Oh, well, I guess he doesn't like money that much after all.
