Been a member off and on for 5 years.

Biggest con is the cost.

However, for me, who hates crowds and a meat market environment it is worth the cost..

The place is never packed (usually have the place to myself later in the evening) and unless you are into the geriatric set, the meat market aspect is not an issue.

It is usually very clean, most of the equipment is high quality and there are multiples of each.

I never have to deal with the management of the place so that is never a issue.

Most employees don't go out of their way to interact with you, but are more than willing to help if asked.

Management doesn't listen to the members regarding classes and instructors

Unfriendly, rude manager,.. unfair rules, 0 customer loyalty.

Cheap service; out of 6 only one shower has hot water, the rest they lock the handles halfway so people can't open the hot water...

I have been a member of this gym for 11 months now and ask me if I'm gonna renew my membership...NO!
Pros: proximity
-non intimidating environment (no I lift things up and put them down..." people)

Cons:-The equipments are outdated, some are even broken and never fixed,
-Only two cleaning staff despite of members paying almost $100/month.
-Offers "Nutritional Consult" upon membership, but all the nutritionist did was to advertise Trade Joe's!
-Fitness instructors would often do their "calisthenics" with their clients IN THE MIDDLE OF WEIGHTS AREA and be there for at least 1 hour (totally not an efficient way to use a space...).
-limited parking space, you have to wait for parking specially if classes are on.
HNH fitness keeps recruiting more members without expanding their facility/adding more equipments.

Better search for another gym.

What an awful experience I had here at HNH Fitness. One of the most poorly run clubs that I have ever seen. The failures are really too numerous to document, but the trouble begins with management, who are unfriendly, unhelpful and downright rude to members and their own staff. The place is run like a hospital, and in this case it is not a compliment. HNH is cold, clinical and careless in its approach to fitness. After my unpleasant experience at HNH, I moved on to Gold's Gym Paramus which has proven to be a revelation! My advice to anyone interested in improving their own health and fitness level -- steer clear of HNH Fitness in Oradell. Yuck!
