Reviews to Himalayan Yak
Hearing that Himalayan Yak did in fact serve yak, I knew that it was a necessary destination. Warm, enfolding food with a touch of exoticness, well prepared in a cosy space that manages to leave tables far enough apart from one another that one doesn't disturb the other guests. A bit more intimate of a feel than other such restaurants in Jackson Heights.

Nothing authentic about the Tibetan Food. Most Tibetan households can make better tasting food than what is available in Yak. Nepali food, is also soso, nothing much to talk about except for the live music on weekends but that too is getting boring now. I go there occasionaly to have a few drinks and listen to some of the songs but i cannot survive but an hour or two and then i need to get out of that place.
Food is really bland and does not look like any love was added while making it.
There are a few dishes that can pass for being edible, rest is just expensive and not worth a try if you have had authentic cuisine expereineces in Tibet, Nepal and India.
I would rate it as low to mediocre place to try authentic tibetan and Nepalese food.
