Hilton Meadowlands

A very easy to get to location near a lot of the sights of the area. External dining options are a little far away, but within a 6 minute jaunt on the highways.

Rooms were clean and well decorated, with the usual amenities (hair drier, coffee maker, ample closet space.)

Service was average, desk staff seemed to be indifferent, were hesitant to offer dining recommendations, and struggles to answer some basic questions regarding breakfast.

The on site dining breakfasts were good, though all other food was expensive and mediocre at best.

The conference center was well put together and handled.

I would not recommend this location! Rooms is tight, bathrooms are not very clean. And some of the staff are not professional.

Breakfast is good, other foods not so much. The bar and lounge area is expensive and not very lively. The gym is small and the pool and hot tub are both broken. The shuttle service to the football game is awesome (take a cab back) and the shuttle service to the train station to get into the city is handy if you sign up many hours ahead of time. Overall, not bad.

The upkeep of this hotel is atrocious... The chair at the desk pleather was peeled halfway of the seat and the back of the chair, the hinges on the bathroom door were rusted, the toilet paper was so thin yet hard as if you were rubbing your butt against a tree, when they cleaned your room they didn't replenish the bath soap, dingy carpet and I left with bite marks on my arm, back and finger ... When I shared at the front desk at check out and showed them my bitten and swollen appendages I was blown off as if I was trying to get a free stay or something. They said a manager will call me but I never received a call. I wouldn't stay there for all the tea in China!!!

Staff was great, nice and courteous. That's where is stopped. Shower was so broken that it would spin and just spray the room unless you held it. Floor was stained and disgusting. Furniture was old and beat. But to get 2 stars it was the bloody bandages in the corner that I found the next morning. Won't stay here again if this is their standard. Room 911 on Nov 15-16.
