Hess Triangle is reportedly the smallest 'plot' in New York city. This was owned by David Hess, who actually owned a 5 storied building in that area. When the city authorities demolished the buildings for widening the avenue and building subway, they missed this small triangular area. The Hess family refused to donate this to public and installed this mosaic stone there. It remains here, largely unnoticed.
Funny Historic facts :-)
