Hertz Rent a Car

Made arrangements for gold service 4 days in advance of trip. My flight was 2 hours late arriving but no problem - car was ready and waiting. Return of car was also very efficient. Overall a good experience,

It was a little strange to be given the option on line to select a car from either the Newark Airport Amtrak location or across the airport at P3 only to discover that only P3 exists when I arrived at the terminal. They made up for it by upgrading my car which was sweet.

Regarding the rental itself, it was fine except I found myself driving through a winter storm with the windshield wiper fluid empty. They made up for that my giving me a credit certificate so I'm pleased with their response though it would have made for a much safer and less stressful drive had I the windshield wiper fluid to clean my windshield in that Godawful weather.

all in all, 4 stars. no regrets...

I used the ride back service with Adam and had a great experience, plus had no problem making my flight on time! I've considered using it in the past and I really hope they don't discontinue it.

Excellent car this time, clean and nice service to be driven to terminal after drop off.

My prior rental with Hertz in November however was a problem, as the car I got from the assigned spot was the wrong car & I had to return to the office to get a different car.

The drag is the Monorail you have to take to get to the place - yet better than a bus, if you ask me. As for Hertz, is one of their best stations, in my experience. Super quick out and returns. None of the Stasi-like checking your car for scratches and always making you liable for something that the Europen, especially German stations, do.
