If you are looking for headaches, frustration, incompetence and people lying to your face this is the dealership for you.
Pros:
At some point you may get a new car.
Cons:
1. It took Hertz a week and a half to get our car inspected and ready for delivery after the paperwork was signed. When I called the salesman to ask why it was taking so long for he preceded to get in to and argument with me ending with him telling me "come in and we will rip you paperwork up". He no longer works there, hmm i wonder why?
2. 45 days after the purchase we are still waiting for our registration and our temporary has expired. The manager claims he can't process the paperwork for the registration until he gets the title from corporate. This takes 45 days? Where are they sending it from Venus?
3. Manager refuses to take or return phone calls. Driving to the dealership is the only way to speak to the manager.
4. The new manager will lie to your face. "I return you call but you said your to busy to talk" LIE. "I will call you tonight and let you know if the title came in" LIE. "If the title doesn't come in i'll over night you a new temporary registration and you will have it by 10 am" LIE. "yes I sent out a new temp you will have it today" LIE. "no you won't have sign for it" not a lie because you cant sign for something that wasn't sent!! "Your car will be ready for pickup Tuesday" LIE...."Wednesday" LIE..."Thursday" LIE...etc.
5. Hertz raved about how the car passed their "certified used car inspection". I could see that was bogus the tires were bald and the wipers were torn. Sure enough they had to replace the tires to pass inspection and promised me the wiper would be changed. First rain fall I turn on the wipers I can't see anything. "We will replace the wipers" LIE.
6. Hertz will send you a link to a survey asking about your experience, the link won't work.
To anyone who temps fate and does business with Hertz car sales in Rockville Centre I wish you the best of luck. You'll need it!!!
