It's kinda OK. On some nights after midnight, they do something like $1 games, however you still need to rent out bowling shoes. It's fun, but otherwise it can get a bit expensive, but then again what else is there nearby.

Negative: My church youth group decided to go bowling for our outing of the month. I was elected to coordinate the event. I called Herrill Lanes about two weeks before the day and was treated very disrespectfully. The lady I spoke to on the phone did not speak in a professional matter. I was trying to ask a few questions so I can give the correct information to my group of 20 poeple. I also asked if she needed any of my information and she said no and to just call the day of. So I call the day of and the man I spoke with was trying to find my information, thinking that I had a reservation. He seemed hesitant to say okay to me bringing 20 people. (When I spoke with the lady she said it was fine as long as we came and left at the time we said) I asked him if we would get any group discount and said no. I brought 20 people! They should've given us some discount!
Positive: The shoes were clean and not worn out, alleys were clean and well kept.
Overall: poor customer care

I decided to give Herrill a shot last month after Sheidan was totally packed. The place was empty which was a sight for sore eyes, although This did that last long, only to have the first group to walk in put right next to me, it actually was funny to see, a totally empty lanes and then two groups packed right next to each other. My request went in one ear and out the other, I can understand if it was busy but there was no one else bowling, it almost felt intentional when the exact opposite of a request occurs. The food was good and the bar is well a dive but all bowling alley bars are, the booze is priced well. Other than the service things were ok, but then again service is what defines similar places, so I probably wont be back until the next time Sheridan full.
