Beautiful park in the heart of Bed-Stuy. Once inside you forget that you are surrounded by a dirty neighbourhood. There is a reasonable running path that you can take that will allow you to get your exercise on, and as a bonus it is typically deserted.

Lets talk about when it snows, it is absolutely breathtaking!
When it rains it is like you are in a in a dick tracy comic strip.

I cut through this park all the time and it really needs help - kinda run down - they need to beautify it and bring it back to it's former glory - the outdoor amphitheater is a mess. They oughta open up some sort of café in the park like they would do in Europe. Make it a bit more appealing to all residents and not just kids or people with dogs. Change the name back to Tompkins Park so at least people would have some sort of reference to where it is located (Tompkins Avenue)
