They helped me find a style wig and color and then they made it for me.

I picked up my wig a few months ago after it was serviced. Three weeks later I saw a “mystery charge” appear on my debit account. When I called Helena to query the charge, she indicated that due to their error, they had not charged me appropriately for the services rendered. Helena continued to badger me about the charges (which I did not dispute); and I tried to explain to Helena that the unexpected charge caused me to incur a $35 overdraft fee. Today, I again dropped off a wig for servicing, and asked if she would credit my bill the $35 overdraft fee they incurred. She indicated that I would have to eat the overdraft fee. Helena also suggested that I get another wig to avoid putting pressure on her to complete the wig service (she told me it took 2 days, and I was giving her 3). When I told her I just purchased another wig, she quickly replied “so why don’t you take this wig there to be serviced”. Helena (and most stores) will not service a wig purchased at another store. I find Helena to be rude, impatient and condescending. I am sure that dealing with the general public every day must be a challenge. But if you cannot treat each PAYING customer with respect by providing good customer service, maybe you should not be at the front of the store. Oh, and yes, I will be taking my business elsewhere … today I bought a better quality front lace wig from a store in midtown … the staff was friendly, welcoming and pleasant (they even offered me a hot cup of tea)!!

I work in the hair industry, so I know where the professionals go. I referred my mother-in-law here who is going through chemotherapy. After having some very bad experiences at the various hair supply stores in NY that make a business out of ripping off women with cancer - sad but true - she called this store, and Helena herself spent 3 hours with her helping her choose the right hair pieces for her look, and for her condition. Their prices are reasonable, they have the best selection in NY in synthetic and natural, and this is where the best in the business all go. I highly recommend this store.
