Havana Central

This was not the best restaurant I've been to. First, the reception was unfriendly and confusing. They had live music which wasn't good at all. The people that played the live music probably just played for the money, there was no spirit in it, or did not create a feeling. It was as if it was from the radio. The service was VERY slow and the plates are very small and not worth the money. The whole restaurant didn't even feel as if it was Cuban. You could name the place a pizzeria and it wouldn't feel any different. Not worth the time and money, and not one of the best restaurant's I've been to.

Couldn't find the entrance! Lol. The host was very nice. The atmosphere was pleasant. Seated at the table, the waitress rushed us to order. She spoke so fast, she quickly took away the menus. The food was okay it was also served in a timely fashion so ya I'd come back

We went to Havana Central Garden city location Monday January 25,2016. My friend and I needed to have a ladies lunch because we hadn't seen each other in awhile. It was approx. 3pm and we were seated right away because it was fairly empty which was good ..so we thought! Problem: The waitress voluntarily encouraged passion fruit mohito..so we said yes ..she also suggested the pitcher would be better deal..so we did. Little did we know that the pitcher was $45.00 and she never mentioned that..she disappeared..the food was brought by someone esle..she was gone until check time. The meal was small portioned and just okay I was still hungry..the service deceptive..the check was $100.00.. (including tip)..for rice and beans and pernil....The waitress coerced us into the $45.00 drink..to enhance her tip..we felt scammed..her actions demonstrated her need for money..So. we took the high road..tipped her $23.00 and left. WE eat at the best of places and travel a lot..This treatment was not okay..we are Retiree's and didn't expect being scammed that way, Disheartening to say the least! Incidently, the drink Pitcher was bitter and not good at all. Thank God we could afford to pay.

Went there tonight to celebrate my daughters bday. The resturant is absolutely beautiful! Food was awesome and the prices great! The best part of our experience was the service! Our waiter Juan was very attentive and the manager Carlos stopped by our table to make sure we enjoyed our visit and to thank us for the business. As we left, all the employees said goodbye to us....even waiters who didnt serve us! They are obviously very customer oriented. Good job guys! We will be back!

On Saturday January 9th my co-workers and I from the ATT store decided for the first time to try out Havana Central in Garden City since it's right by our store. When we arrived we were seated within 5-10 minutes. After we were seated the waitress didn't get to our table until about another 10 mins. She was friendly and took our order which was great and all but that was last time we saw her until about 30 mins later she came out with our drinks and said that our food would be out very soon. It was now an hour later we did not have any of the food that we ordered or anything. It's now and hour and a half and the waitress tells us that her manager is going to come and talk to us. He apologized and said the food is going to come out now and he would take something off the bill. He told us the food would be right out, so we asked now because we need to get back to work ASAP, and he told us it would be three minutes. We told him we were just going to leave to just give us the empanadas if they were ready. He said they were and went to get them, but never came back! It was the worst experience ever. On top of that we were already late to get back to work. The experience was ridiculous. I had the worst customer experience, on top of that my co-workers and I had to go back to work without eating anything ! Never again such a disappointment ! I will not recommend this location to any of my co-workers or customers.
