Worst medical facility in New York staff is noncooperative Doctor Shukla not behave well to parents of a sick child it is torture for parents and patient

to some extent i agree with the bad review of dr. Shukla. I did not like the way dr shukla spoke to us. I am not questioning his medical expertise but doctors should treat the patients right. I know not giving a damn abt patients is a norm in south asian country and dr. shukla seems to be still in the same mind set. wake up doctor, its not india here.

i feel like i've been taken care of by dr. shukla, i owe it to him to defend him. for the bad reviewer below, i wouldn't be so quick to judge a physician. speaking as a physician now myself, i wouldn't be quick to decide ordering a CT scan on a hematoma or discrediting your keen observation that your child has "blue lips" as something absurd. i'm not saying he was right or wrong. medical decisions are difficult to make and require a ton of experience. having said that, i think ur more upset with dr. shukla's lack of professionalism. he has a very paternalistic point of view that harks back to practicing and training in india. in all honesty, if ur looking for a warm and cozy doctor who'll shoot the breeze with you, do not come see dr. shukla. if you want some medical advice and move on, then he's ur guy!

I am currently 21 years old and grew up in the hands of this doctor. He knows exactly what he is doing. My son is 1 year old and wouldn't trust him with any other doctor! (I don't understand the other rater below me).

Guys:
Usually I don't write reviews but this time I am, just to inform parents what kind of doctor they are dealing with. Dr. Shukla is the most incompetent doctor I have ever dealt with. My son had hematoma which is not something major. Dr. Shukla had his CAT scan done just bcs. he thought that it did not look okay. Now I see a different doctor (who is very professional) and our new doctor was shocked to learn that Dr. Shukla exposed our kid to so much radiation without understanding that hematoma subsides on its own. His incompetency does not end here.
My son lips were blue and I mentioned it to him while at his office and he said that "its normal".. for God's sake are you kidding me. Blue lips always mean lack of oxygen, how could you ignore that. The new doctor sent us to ER right away for blue lips.
Last but not least, the rudeness with which he answered all of my questions was so unprofessional that I decided while talking to him that I am not coming here anymore.
